For your old wood table top, make some refinishings. Using a scraper, scrape off the old finish. Afterwards, smooth it with emery paper. Coat the table top with polyurethane. Allow it to dry. Then, put on the second layer of polyurethane coating. Let it dry once again, and then put on the third layer of coating.
