Good Customer Service – What To Do As An Internet Marketer

When you shop at any business, what do you use as a guide to rate that establishment? Most people would answer that it has to do with the people they encounter there and the overall level of customer service! It is the level of customer service that you receive that usually determines whether or not you will shop at a store again, eat at a restaurant again, or do business with a service provider again. Unfortunately, as important as customer service is, it’s something too many internet marketers leave out of the equation when they think about their business. The need to provide good customer service is not any less important online than anywhere else, even if your customers can’t actually see you on the internet! You can use these tips and suggestions to start providing better customer service to your website visitors.
When someone contacts you, make sure you answer as soon as possible. It’s best if you respond to them the same day, or the next day at the latest. The messages you send should always be personally written by you. Sending out messages generated by an automated system are not really responses at all. Responding quickly to any questions, remarks or complaints shows people that you are a real person who cares about them. If you had a retail store, would you leave customers standing there while you did something else? It’s not likely! You could also run a giveaway. People will be reminded that they want to get in touch with you. You needn’t offer something to each person who returns your message. Make it into a contest. People are very happy when they win things. Offer one of your products for free to a random response chosen from those who answer a question you send out. You could ask a simple trivia question or ask for feedback on your business. Either way, the responses will be overwhelming. You could even find some correspondence from someone who isn’t even on your list.
